Explain the salient features of the Export Inspection Council.  The Export Inspection Council (EIC), India's official agency for giving export certificates, was established to guarantee the dependability and calibre of goods leaving India. The Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Act of 1963's Section 3 mandated the establishment of the Export Inspection Council by the federal government. A product must be able to meet the quality and safety requirements of the import country in order to be exported and marketed globally.
