provisions of TRIPS Agreement relating to the trade secrets.

Trade Secrets:
The TRIPS
Agreement does not provide a specific definition of trade secrets. However, it

Protection of
Trade Secrets:
Article 39 of the TRIPS Agreement outlines the general obligation of member countries to protect undisclosed information, which typically includes trade secrets. It requires members to protect such information against unfair commercial use and disclosure, provided that such information:
TRIPS does not
specify the exact scope of protection for trade secrets, leaving it to member
countries to determine the appropriate legal framework for protection. This may
include civil remedies, criminal penalties, or both.
TRIPS requires
member countries to provide effective enforcement mechanisms to prevent and
address the misappropriation of trade secrets. This may involve civil remedies,
such as injunctions and damages, as well as criminal penalties for willful
infringement.
Duration of
Protection:

trade secrets under the TRIPS Agreement. Protection continues as long as the
