1. Critical Exposition of,

a) rasanumitivada

The spectator infers the presence of the emotion through the actor presented in the form of bhavas like human or nature. The role played by the actor is the cause for leading to rasa. The audience infers the presence of such emotion not in the actor himself but through the bhavas presented by him. Since Sri Sankuka and Mahima Bhatta were trained in the Nyaya school of Indian philosophy, the latter was influenced by the former in formulating a similar theory in an elaborate way in his vyaktiviveka. All the requirements of anumana are fulfilled in the process of rasa experience. But inference is concerned with intellect and logic pertaining to language and not to be applicable to art experience. There is no inclusion of generalization of emotion, but only the emotion presented by the actor. However, the method of communication is indirect. Though this alankarika has hinted at the emotion presented by the actor, he did not extensively explain the emotional status of the spectator.

b) Concept of Sahridaya 10+10= 20

Vidya Niwas Misra has demonstrated the word sahridaya as two components: saman which mean same, equal, harmony, being and Hridaya means heart becoming. He takes help of Rigvedic sutra to clarify its :”Samani va aakutih saman hrydayanivah saman mastu somano yatha vah susahasatih,”that is “let our minds be in harmony, our hearts be in harmony, let our thinking be in harmony ,our thought processes be in harmony so that we can live for a meaningful living of all-together” with positive attitude towards life. As human life is supposed to be gift of God we are supposed to live in harmony, in accord with each other, understanding each other, suffused with each other, with your hearts mingling as the gods did, in the earlier times with an understanding of their interrelationship. That the Gods also desire that the mantras of the humans to be the same. Similarly, their meetings and interactions and being are same comprehending all their vows their consciousness flows through us that we are the same, our hearts are the same and our minds are the same, so there can be greater accord between you and us. Some Vedas also say that human are part of God themselves. The one who does good deeds is God and the one who does bad deeds is devil.
