1. (a) The outcome of the links between land and history of Australia have had results that are political and socio-cultural. Elucidate.

2. The short story The Drover's Wife portrays the hardships of life in the Bush of Australia from a woman's perspective. Explain.

3. Comment on the title of the play The Removalists.  

4. Write a note on the structure of the novel Remembering Babylon.  

5. In what way does Rosemary Dobson's poem `Cock Crow' express the feminine viewpoint ?

6. Explain the dichotomy of whore/goddess with reference to The Chosen Vessel.

7. Is 'This Night's Orbit' a forward-looking or backward-looking poem ? State your reasons.

8. Would it be right to call Voss an emotionally complex novel ? Discuss.
