DU SOL Admissions 2020 : Admission, Eligibility, Fee Structure

DU SOL Reservations 2020

The seat reserved for OBC category shall be filled by OBC students only. If there are not any OBC candidates fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria, then these vacant seats shall be converted to General Category seats as per by the notification of University.

 The seats which are reserved for ST/SC are to be filled by the ST/SC candidates only. But, just in case of non-availability of the eligible candidates, the seats could also be exchanged between ST and SC candidates. If there are still any unfilled seats, an equivalent will remain vacant.

SOL DU MA & M. Com Admission 2020

SOL DU also offers MA and M.Com courses in various disciplines at the postgraduate level. DU SOL offers admission to PG courses in two categories, namely, Entrance-based and Merit-based. Students have to meet the specific eligibility criteria with respect to the categories in order to secure admission.

Registration for Master’s programs under DU-SOL usually commences in the month of August-September every year. Candidates who have completed their Bachelor’s degree from the university other than DU need to take the entrance test conducted by the University of Delhi. Points to Remember:

  • For M.Com course, direct admission will be determined by normalizing the marks of eligible B.Com or B.Com (Program) / B.Com (Pass) candidates.
  • In case of M.Com, Marks are normalized by deducting 5% and preparing the merit list on the basis of combined merit of B.Com (Hons). and B.Com or B.Com (Program) / B.Com (Pass) after such deduction.
  • For MA (Sanskrit), candidates securing 45% (40% marks for OBC and 35% for SC/ST/PH) in admission test will be admitted to MA (Sanskrit) course according to the merit list on the basis of seats available.
  • The candidates securing less than 45% (40% marks for OBC and 35% for SC/ST/PH) in admission test are eligible only for admission in SOL/ Non-Collegiate on the basis of seats available.
  • Admissions are also open to Indian nationals settled abroad provided they are eligible and take the University examination at the Delhi Centre.
