IGNOU extends June assignment submission date till 15 June amid lockdown; students can submit online exam form till 15 June
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended
the last date for submission of assignment for college kids appearing for June
term end exam (TEE) till 15 June.
IGNOU said that the last date of accepting the web examination
form without late fee is extended from 30 April to fifteen May for the TEE June
2020. The university, however, has not specified the duration till which
candidates can submit their exam forms with late fees.
As per the circulars released by IGNOU, both steps are taken
thanks to postponement of Learner Support Service activities in the least
Regional Centres/ Learning Support Centres (LSC) across the country till 30 May,
the date till which the countrywide lockdown has been extended in sight of the
coronavirus outbreak.
Earlier, Human Resource Development Minister (HRD) Ramesh
Pokhriyal 'Nishank' had advised the director general of the National TestingAgency (NTA) to postpone the last date of acceptance of application forms for
various entrance exams, including IGNOU PhD and management exams, by a month
thanks to the coronavirus lockdown.
IGNOU has not notified anything on June term end exams being
postponed. Candidates should refrain from believing or sharing fake messages in
connection to the present .
To make it easy for college kids , IGNOU has also allowed
them to submit their assignments online. it's asked students to scan their
assignment and send them to their regional centers via email. The regional
centres will accept scanned copies of handwritten assignments through a
fanatical email id and lookout of the evaluation process. it's said that
students can write their assignment during a notebook having plain paper and
scan it and email it to their respective Regional Centres.
Study centres of IGNOU across the country will remain closed
till May 30.
The 21-day coronavirus lockdown which was alleged to endways
14 April has been extended till 30 May within the country’s attempt at fighting
the pandemic.
