The role of APLAC is:-

  • Through its Mutual Recognition Arrangement, reliable test and calibration laboratories and inspection organisations are recognised globally (MRA)
  • Promotion of laboratory and inspection accreditation as a tool for trade facilitation and the development and suitable standardisation of accreditation practises for inspection bodies and laboratories
  •  Helping to build processes for accreditation of laboratories and inspections

The role of QIC is:-

  • The promotion of corporate excellence through quality award programmes, contests, and other means of promotion includes holding seminars, organising study trips, and employing various 55 Standardization and Accreditation modes of promotion.

The role of NABL is:-

  • The Department of Science & Technology, the government of India, oversees NABL, which is a registered society under the Societies Act.
  • The NABL was founded with the intention of giving the government, industry associations, and industry at large a plan for independent evaluation of the standard and technical proficiency of testing and calibration laboratories. The Government of India has designated NABL as the only organisation authorised to accredit testing and calibration labs.
  • NABL offers accreditation for laboratories. services to labs doing tests and calibrations in line with for medical laboratories. These services are accessible to everyone and provided without discriminationregardless of their location, testing and calibration facilities in India and overseas ownership, status as a legal entity, scale, and level of independence.
