Simple societies are:- Population is typically smaller. They only create what they will consume because their economy is centred on subsistence. The majority of modern societies would be categorised as complex societies. There are many different types of employment and a high degree of specialisation in the labour force.
Complex societies are:-Technological breakthroughs have led to the emergence of a technologically advanced complex society in contemporary times, from the time of hunting and gathering to the moon landing.
