entrance examination lasts for 2 hours.

application fee for the entrance examination is INR 800 for General/OBC

CUCET 2021.
MPhil Entrance Test (MET)
- The MPhil
Entrance Test is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, IIT
Bombay for admission to its MPhil courses.

entrance exam for this examination would be tentatively held at the end of
June, 2021 (Though it is subject to change considering the Covid-19
situation of the country.
- The
duration of the entrance examination is 3 hours and it would be
divided into two papers, Paper I and Paper II. The Full marks of the
entrance
- Paper I
consists of 2 sections (A and B) each of 20 marks, consisting of
MCQs.Paper II consists of two 30 Marks sections (A and B). It consists of
long essay type answers.
- The
registration process is expected to begin within the first two weeks of
June 2021.
GATE
- The GATE or
Graduate Aptitude Test in engineering is a national level entrance
examination conducted by one of the the IITs every year for admission to
PG and research level courses in top colleges/universities in India.
- The GATE
2022 would be conducted by IIT Kharagpur.
- The
duration of the entrance examination is for 3 hours, consisting mainly of
MCQs and some numerical type questions.
- The
registration process would tentatively begin in September, 2021 and would
conclude by November 2021.
- The fee for
the GATE exam is INR 1500 for the general category and INR 750 for
reserved categories and female candidates.
UGC NET
- UGC NET is
one of the entrance examinations considered for admission to various
research related courses in India.
- UGC NET is
conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) twice a year, Once in June
and other in December.
- Candidates
must have scored at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) in their
Post Graduation or equivalent from any recognized university.
- The
duration of the Computer based Entrance examination is 3 hours and
consists of MCQs.
- The
December cycle of 2020 exam that was scheduled to be held in May 2021, has
been postponed due to the rise in covid-19 cases in India.
- The new
registration will begin after the declaration of the result of the
December cycle examination.
- The
application fees of the UGC NET ranges are INR 1000 for unreserved
category and 500 for reserved categories.
BHU RET 2021
- The Banaras
Hindu University conducted the BHU Research Entrance Test (RET) for
admission to its PhD and MPhil courses.
- The
duration of the entrance examination is 120 minutes and the full marks of
the entrance exam is 300.
- The
entrance examination is divided into two segments Test A and Test B. Test
A consists of logical reasoning and analytical questions. The candidates
have to score a minimum of 35% in the test A to be considered for further
rounds.

the application form is INR 800 for the unreserved and OBC categories, and
INR 400 for SC/ST and PwD.
Distance MPhil
- The
Duration of distance MPhi course is generally 2 years. In some cases the
duration of the MPhil Courses can be extended by one year after the
payment of penalty.
- Women
candidates with more than 40% disabilities are offered a grace period of 1
year to complete their degree.

fee ranges between INR 7500 to INR 13,000

candidates need to pass the individual entrance exam of the different
universities to complete their admission process.

MPhil Open University
MPhil Open
University is a 1-2 year correspondence course offered to the working
professional who are not able to pursue the MPhil course in regular format.
The MPhil Distance programs must be accredited by the Distance
Education Board (DEB)- UGC to be accepted for employment or education purposes.

Distance Education Admission are done either on the basis of merit list or
entrance examination. The entrance examination would be conducted by the respective
universities.For example, IGNOU conducted the entrance examination for
admission to its several MPhil programs.

· The candidates must pass their
postgraduate entrance exam from a recognized university with at least 55%
