Note : (i) Answer all the five questions. (ii) All questions carry equal marks. (iii) Answer to questions 1 and 2 should not exceed 600 words each.

1. Highlight the role of Jyotiba Phule, Raja Rammohan Roy, B.R. Ambedkar and Sir Syed Ahmed Khan in removing various social problems prevalent in the Indian society.

2. Critically examine the trends and gaps in social work literature.

OR

Explain the process of policy formulation.

3. Answer any two of the following questions in about 300 words each :

(a) Trace the social work values inherent in Islam.  

(b) Discuss the characteristics of Gandhian Social Work.

(c) What is RCI ? List the different institutions  working for the welfare of disabled population.

(d) Trace various ideals pertaining to social work in Buddhism.

4. Answer any four of the following questions in about 150 words each :

(a) How do you explore the history of social work in the initiatives of local rulers ?

(b) Discuss Chipko movement.

(c) Briefly explain the concept of Bhoodan and 5 Gramdan movements.

(d) Write a short note on 'social work as a 5 career'.

(e) Describe briefly two fields of social work practice that may become workplace for intervention.

(f) Discuss the two fold tasks of social workers at the implementation level.
